I have held a deep love for photography ever since my days at Parkside highschool, spending countless hours in the darkroom with my best friend Madi. Using film cameras, experimenting with developing photos by hand and of course playing around with digital photography. Many years later (and a bachelor degree in Interior Design, safe to say creativity is in my blood) I found my way back to my photography passion and started Jocelyn Lucan Photography. It was an all or nothing situation and I left my full time job in Interior Design to pursue the life of entrepreneurship which has been nothing but rewarding and hard work! Since the day I started my business in 2022 I have photographed 100's of moments for clients all over Ontario, love stories in Banff Alberta and intimate weddings in Dominican Republic.
My goal is to frame my clients in the moments that they feel most loved in. With my laid back attitude, I will be there to support, direct and make you feel as comfortable throughout the entire session.
When I am not photographing your stories you can catch me relaxing at home with Cole and our two fur babies Georgie & Gus.

Everyone deserves to feel love
Everyone deserves to feel loved in front of my camera. It is my goal to have you feel safe, comfortable, appreciated as you are, for who you love and for how you look. TRUST ME, as someone who feels shy in front of the camera I will do everything to make sure YOU feel comfortable and supported in front of mine (just like how I would want to be in your position). By the end of the session it will feel like we are more than strangers - it will be like you just hung out with one of your friends and had fun the entire time!

Life itself is my biggest inspiration. I’m inspired by real connection the messy, joyful, intimate, and natural. I’m drawn to moments that feel honest, stories that unfold naturally, and the kind of emotion you can feel just by looking at a photograph. Every couple, family, or individual I photograph brings their own story, and capturing that authenticity is what drives me.
Besides my clients I feel inspired through natural lighting, breathtaking landscapes, and the energy of an environment. From mountaintops to flower fields, every location brings its own story, and I love weaving each unique location into the moments I capture.

Heres 5 facts about me!
1. I have a bachelor degree in Interior Design from Fanshawe College in London -Easy to say creativity runs in my blood!
2. I enjoy kayaking with my friends, which most of time means we are also fishing on the Thames while we do it. I may have a tendency to loose the big fish... but sometimes I manage to catch them and lose my bait in the process
3. I have two dogs, Georgie (3 year old Frenchton) and Gus (1 year old Frenchie) who are crazy but Cole and I love them so much. You'll often hear Gus in the background of my phone calls as he is my shadow! Georgie is miss independent who spends her time sun bathing in the window and keeping an eye on the neighbourhood
4. I have an unhealthy love for salt & vinegar chips.. even when they make my mouth sore
5. I love to travel - I hope to see as many parts of the world as I can. Being able to travel all over Ontario and beyond is the BEST part of my job and constantly inspires me. No matter where you are in the world - I would LOVE to document your love story. It is my goal from 2024 & out to get a tattoo to represent each place I have travelled (Netherlands, France, Dominican Republic, Banff, Iceland & PEI)
